Fiona’s Illustration work has a narrative, poetic feel and is developed from observation of the landscape. This is recorded in sketchbooks and journals capturing a moment in time.

The walk in the countryside
The hare that runs through the woods
The sound of geese as they fly overhead
The breeze that carries the scent of the leaves

The illustrations are constructed using linen, silk and stitch, built up using layers of fabric, many holding small secretive details.
